The New Haven, CT, Free Public Library recently offered a Collage-a-Thon (on a Saturday afternoon) in which children aged six and older were invited to experiment with the art of mixed-media collage. Participants learned about picture book artists who use collage and put together their own 2016 calendar decorated with cut paper and magazine photos.
