Idea Starter: Working Waterfront Festival

The City of New Bedford, MA, is hosting its ninth annual Working Waterfront Festival this weekend. This year’s theme is “Fishtales: Fact, Fiction and Narrative Tradition in Commercial Fishing Culture.” The City is considered to be the largest commercial fishing port in the US.

The festival is open to the public with no admission charge, and it includes a number of demonstrations, performances, and exhibits related to the commercial fishing life and culture.
