Health Services Idea Starter: Travel Vaccination Services Clinic

The Pomperaug District Department of Health, serving the Towns of Oxford, Southbury, and Woodbury, CT, offers a semi-monthly Travel Vaccination Services clinic designed to offer all vaccinations recommended for international travel as well as prescriptions for medications to prevent malaria and altitude sickness, and to treat travelers’ diarrhea. In addition to immunizations and prescriptions, clinic staff provide consultation and recommendations for making the trip safe and healthy. Vaccinations and prescriptions are available for both adults and children. The vaccinations are offered at discounted prices for residents of the Towns in the District.

The Travel Vaccination Services are provided by appointment on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month (9:00 AM-12:00 Noon). When scheduling your appointment, participants are requested to have their travel itinerary available.
