Environmental Services Idea Starter: Mushroom Hunting Walk

A guided mushroom hunting walk, led by two members (deemed the premiere wild mushroom experts in southern New England) of the Mushroom Hunting Foundation was sponsored by Northwest Rhode Island Supporters of Open Space today, Saturday, 17 June.

Participants went on a two-hour trek through the woods of West Glocester, RI, to identify and gather edible fungi.

There were two sessions – 10:00 AM-12:00 Noon and 1:00-3:00 PM. Registration was limited to 16 participants per session.

There was $5.00 participation fee.
